Espresso Maker Review - DeLonghi BAR32 - Best Price

espresso machine

Hello and welcome to this Go articles review of the DeLonghi BAR32 espresso coffee maker. With this review it is my intention to inform the reader of all the key issues regarding this machine and hopefully bringing them to the point where they can make a confident decision about which coffee maker is best.

First we should mention the fact that this machine is pump-driven instead of steam-driven, this is very important, as pump-driven machines typically scorch the coffee grounds and leave the espresso tasting burnt.

This machine can use both pods and grounds when making coffee, this is brilliant because it means a wide variety of people can enjoy this machine. Those who are perfectionist in nature can use gourmet coffee grounds of their choice and spend the time necessary to make that perfect cup of coffee. While those of us who are happy to just have great tasting espresso but also want it fast should be happy campers here as well. I know for me personally just after I have gotten up first thing in the morning, measuring coffee into a scoop and messing around is something I don't particularly want to do.

The pods while a little on the expensive side at 18 pods for $12 make really good coffee and if we were to compare this price to that of a coffee shop we would undoubtedly see massive savings over the course of a year.

Quickly before we finish we should talk about the water; if you are happy with "passable" water with your coffee then putting tap water through the espresso makers filter may be enough, but personally I don't think so. My strong recommendation when it comes to water is to use mineral water with your coffee, the water that we use comprises 98% of the coffee we drink, and so shouldn't be taken lightly.

What do people think of the Breville 800ESXL Triple-Priming Espresso Maker?

The Breville 800ESXL Espresso Machine reviews were 67% positive. Many reviewers use the machine every day, sometimes multiple times per day. The machines uses a bit more water than other espresso machines, especially if you follow the manual and discharge one shot without coffee to warm up the inner parts of the machine. Some reviewers complained of wet and messy grounds while others stated with proper tamping and setting on the grind you will get a nice dry puck. Most reviewers recommended a fine grind, but not a super fine.

What was the overall opinion?

Unfortunately 16% of people gave the Breville 800ESXL a negative review recommending the next model instead. Fortunately we have that review on our website. Review of the Krups XP7225 Fully Automatic Espresso Machine

espresso machine

The Krups XP7225 is a fully automatic compact espresso machine that combines technological innovation with an easy to use interface to deliver perfect results in the cup every time.

At the touch of a button the XP7225 grinds, tamps and brews delicious espresso and pressured brewed coffee. The steam wand allows you to easily froth your milk for cappuccinos and lattes. It also includes a hot water wand for quick teas and other beverages.

The Krups XP7225 uses a patented brewing system that includes a professional quality conical bur grinder. It has a stainless steel lined thermal block heating system and a fifteen bar pump. All of these components are designed around an integrated brew chamber making it the most compact machine available on the market today. they also helps to deliver the ideal constant temperature.

It has a bright led display screen with a simple, easy to understand menu which is easy to navigate and customize as well as touch button activation. The Krups fully automatic espresso machine also comes pre-programmed, which takes the guessing out of what settings to use for the perfect cup of espresso.

The dial allows you to select how much you actually want (for small, medium and larger cups) and within thirty seconds you will be enjoying espresso that tastes as if it were made at your favorite cafe by your favorite barista. You can make adjustments to the grinder, brewing temperature and many other features important to the actual making of your beverage. It self cleans and has automatic reminder prompts that tell you when to fill the water tank, get rid of the coffee grounds container as well as the drip tray and change filters.

While the product itself has all the bells and whistles, many consumers report less than desirable results when it came down to reliability. By and large, the biggest complaints were with the poor construction of the unit, with complaints of constant malfunctions, broken burr grinders and things of the sort. it's compact size and easy to use features does not make up for the frequent manufacturing issues. If you want a great tasting cup of espresso or coffee and that's all you care about - the Krups XP7225 is for you. If you want a great tasting cup of espresso with a reliable unit that will last for years to come - then you may want to skip past this one. Within this price range, the Delonghi ESAM3300 is the better alternative.

Another advantage that this espresso machine has over other espresso makers is that it heats up fast, so if you live a very busy life and you are always on the go then this item will be your partner and best friend. espresso machine

How can it be possible that there are only two items left if the product is not that good? If an item is selling like hot cakes then it must be very effective and really good. There is something about the look of this espresso machine that most people really admire. The design, the color, the style and the overall impact of this appliance could really make a prospective buyer buy this item in an impulse, which is actually not good but it is just a common reaction that a person has after seeing this espresso machine. Most especially after reading its specifications and other special features of the machine, people will not think twice anymore and just go for it.

The Coffee Maker Review - Senseo is In

Image : http://www.flickr.com

Senseo and Philips have worked collectively to develop a single serve coffee maker, a quality brewer that takes full advantage of coffee pods to produce perfect cups of coffee every time.

If you're thinking about buying this machine, hopefully this coffee makers review, Senseo is in, can help you decide whether you're going to get it or not.

First of all, this Philips Coffee brewer comes in a sturdy aluminum construction. Not only does it look sturdy, but it looks absolutely fabulous as well.

Its water reservoir is easily viewable; therefore it's easy to see if you have enough water left in the tank. Its drip tray, made with stainless steel, does not take away from its appearance as well.

Not only does it make great cups of coffee, but it's easy to use as well. It can either make one 4oz cup, two 4oz cups, or one 8oz cup of coffee.

It uses Philips' patented brewing system that uses only the right amount of water at the right temperature to extract the full flavor of the coffee pods efficiently.

You no longer need to measure and grind coffee beans, because this machine takes full advantage of coffee pods. Just insert the coffee pod of your choice into the machine, and press a button to start brewing.

What is also convenient about using coffee pods is that you can make different cups of different blends and flavors for the people in your household who have prefer different flavors of coffee.

The water reservoir is detachable, allowing you to fill it under the tap. The stainless steel drip tray ensures that your cups are stable under the spout, and any spills go into the tray underneath and not on the kitchen counter.

Various expert reviews, customer reviews, and discussions praise the Philips Senseo brewer for its sturdy construction and quality design. It allows you to enjoy great cups of coffee with ease and no mess, with the choice of various flavors of coffee pods.

The only drawbacks the Philips machine are the availability of coffee pods and its price tag. However, if there is an ample supply of coffee pods in your area and if you can afford to get this machine, then you can take full advantage of this great quality coffee machine.

Gourmet Coffee Beans - The Best Beans Worldwide

Image : http://www.flickr.com

If you ever wondered where those great-tasting gourmet coffees derive their rich flavor, you might want to take a look at the gourmet beans, the source of delightful coffee the world has come to love. It is not derived from one particular variety, but rather from the very best coffee beans from around the world.

To take your appreciation of gourmet coffee beans to the next level, it might help if you better understand the process that leads us from the freshly picked coffee cherry to the final product, the green beans, ready to be shipped to coffee roasters for roasting. Roasting and grinding of freshly picked green coffee beans are the two very crucial steps in enhancing the rich coffee flavors that's so very typical of gourmet java.

Natural drying via the sun can produce some truly exquisite gourmet coffee beans, with unique flavors that are rarely experienced in the west. You can select from a wide variety of coffee blends that are made from the choicest beans.

Making a gourmet cup of coffee at home is pleasing and easy to do. All you will need are whole coffee beans, (grinding the beans just before brewing insures the freshest coffee) fresh spring water, light cream and sugar.

Finer grinds are preferred by those who like espresso but true lovers of gourmet coffee will almost invariably go with the coarse ground coffee powder as boiled water takes its own sweet time to pull out the flavor completely, especially in drip type filters.

Where can you purchase bags of gourmet coffee? In addition to coffee shops, which offer already brewed gourmet coffee and bags of gourmet coffee to bring home, more and more grocery stores and supermarkets are carrying it as well. You can find it online, as well.

Avoid buying the ground variety in grocery stores and supermarkets. Always get the whole bean coffee and grind what you need just before brewing.

Various coffee making companies, gourmet coffee shops and boutiques offer gourmet flavored coffee in a variety of flavors. Many coffee-making companies offer gourmet style drinks, including: Gevalia, Green Mountain, San Giorgio, San Francisco Bay, Kona and Javalution.

If you know someone who loves coffee, especially gourmet, a coffee gift basket is the perfect gift any time of the year. Choosing a gourmet coffee gift basket does not need to be hard on your part; there are many manufacturers and distributors of such gift items.

There you have it. Gourmet coffee beans do not just happen; they are grown from the best areas in the world and carefully nurtured to produce the very best beans. The best part is, gourmet coffee is available to anyone today, whether purchased at the corner market or online from a top-rated coffee bean supplier.

What is the Truth About GE Reverse Osmosis Filters? A Review

Image : http://www.flickr.com

The GE reverse osmosis water filter may be said to "bring good things to living", but that's just marketing. GE reverse osmosis filters are expensive to replace and their lifespan is much shorter than other better systems.

Currently, the manufacturer's suggested retail price for a GE reverse osmosis replacement filter is $799.99. Of course, through different outlets, you may be able to get a better price than that, but for comparison's sake it's a starting point.

All RO systems are expensive to use and maintain. GE reverse osmosis filters are no different. And, depending on where you live, it may be an unnecessary expense.

Alone, RO does not purify. Additional steps must be used to guarantee purity.

Depending on the quality of your source, you might need to disinfect, since the GE reverse osmosis water treatment does not remove bacterial contaminants or anything that is lighter, dissolved in or molecularly smaller than the liquid itself.

The system includes reverse osmosis filters and a carbon filtration step. That's an improvement over most RO units. Carbon removes many chemical contaminants. Multi-media blocks remove even more, but that is not included with General Electric's latest product.

If you have access to public treatment, you own a well or a spring, you probably do not need GE reverse osmosis filters. If your well is brackish, then the step is needed. But, springs and publicly treated supplies need some filtration, just not RO.

You need to remember that reverse osmosis water will be de-mineralized. Studies have shown that drinking de-mineralized on a regular basis is bad for your digestive health and could cause nutritional deficiencies. If you have hard-water, a better choice is ion exchange to "soften" it.

If you must use GE reverse osmosis filters, then you must have a re-mineralization step. That's an expensive step. It is mostly used in desalinization plants.

For this purpose, the new mineral revitalization system would be a better choice, since it includes numerous steps including RO. Of course, it is quite expensive, but if your source requires it, that's really your only choice.

The prices of GE reverse osmosis water filtration systems vary from dealer to dealer. It is not available, at this time, direct from the manufacturer, so of course you are paying dealer mark-up. Depending on where you go, you may be able to negotiate a better price, but you will pay between five and ten thousand dollars for the product.

You also have to remember to factor in the cost of use. Additional electricity is required. Installation requires a plumber and typically an electrician. At the rates they charge, that could be very expensive. From an environmental standpoint reverse osmosis filters are wasteful, both because of the need for electric and because of wastewater created.

The bottom line is that for most of us GE reverse osmosis water will not bring good things to our lives. Regardless of what the commercials say.

A Review of Espresso Machines

Image : http://www.flickr.com

If you are a coffee aficionado or if you are the type who only enjoys a cup of coffee occasionally, you know that a shot of espresso is a sure-fire way to perk you up.

An espresso is prepared using a specialized coffee machine which uses high pressure to extract the essence of the ground coffee.

Water is poured onto the espresso machine's water chamber, then ground coffee and paper filter is placed to start brewing the coffee.

The ground coffee used for an espresso machine is made from coffee beans specifically selected for this coffee variant. The beans or the ground coffee itself can be bought from coffee specialty shops.

If you are an avid espresso buff, then you might want to consider buying a good espresso machine so that you can brew a perfect cup right in your own home.

It is good to consider first the size of the machine that you want. The most basic espresso machine starts at about $100.

The size varies from a 4-cup to a 12-cup machine, depending on the volume of coffee that you want to brew.

For an espresso machine which is top of the line, you might need to dole out $1,000. You would also need other accessories like an espresso grinder, a metal hand tamper, a filter basket and a pump machine.

If you want to have your own café at home, you can buy a piston espresso machine which is a little bit more expensive but will surely help you in making a wonderful espresso cup.

Here is an overview of some of espresso machines that you can use to start learning the art of making the perfect espresso cup:

Gaggia

Their newest model, the Gaggia Titanium SS Espresso Machine is sold for about $1,500. The model is quite costly, but if you are an espresso addict and you want to have only the best model in your kitchen, then this is a must-have.

The parts and housing of the Gaggia Titanium are stainless steel.

It also features programmable buttons to brew, grind and prepare the exact amount of espresso to fit your tastes.

Cleaning an espresso machine has never been easier with its removable brew group.

Saeco

Saeco features the V' Espresso Machine which sells for only $999. This automatic espresso machine offers a rapid steam feature which lets your coffee brew and steam almost at the same instant.

The V' Espresso includes a programmable digital display and adjustable settings to control the amount and strength of the espresso that you want the machine to brew.

Kitchen Aid

The Kitchen Aid Pro Line Espresso Machine can be purchased for $899. This is a semi-automatic espresso machine with a double boiler system.

It also has a three-way solenoid valve that delivers pressure to brew the perfect espresso cup.

Nespresso

The Nespresso D290 is one of the middle-cost brands of espresso machines at only $499. However, the capsules used in these machines are specially made by Nespresso.
It has programmable buttons to brew the appropriate amount of liquid, depending on the number of shots of espresso.

You can take your pick from a super automatic, state of the art espresso machine, a manual or a semi-automatic espresso maker.

No matter which brand you choose, make sure that you follow the cleaning and maintenance instructions and in no time at all, you can brew a fantastic, perk-you-up espresso cup right in your own home.

San Marino - Espresso Machine Review - A New Look at the Timeless Classic

Image : http://www.flickr.com

The Italian country side of the Northeast is picturesque in November. Autumn has arrived, and whilst many of the days are characterised by blue skies that contrast with the yellowing leaves on the grapevines, the evenings are chilly, clean and brisk.

About 45 minutes north of the canal city of Venice, is the small village of Susegana. This town is right on the slopes that begin to climb away from the coastal plains up into the mountains behind. Susegana is in the area called Treviso, famous for its Prosecco wines, the HQ of Benetton, being the Ryan Air stopover point for Venice and perhaps most importantly for being the home of CMA- the makers of San Marino Espresso Machines.

The espresso machine company, started by Mr Nello Del Tio, is still run by the family. Up until last year the machines were manufactured in several buildings spread across one of the main roads into town. All the machines were 100% hand made, lovingly assembled on trolleys that were lined up on small rail tracks around the complex. In January of 2007, the factories were consolidated into a new ultra modern complex, still in Susegana. The new complex brought assembly under 1 roof- and added space for advanced training facilities as well as more area for the technical people. The factory still hand assembles a lot of the machines, but there has been some incorporation of computers for logistics, dispatch and testing/quality control.

One of the most popular lines of machine is the classic San Marino Lisa. This machine has the curves, the stainless steel finish and of course the quality in producing perfect steam pressure and shot quality that has made it a fast favourite in New Zealand, Australia, Indonesia, Asia and the Middle East. The machine can be seen in cafes in Melbourne, Sydney, Perth, Auckland, Jakarta, Bangkok and Dubai. It is the workhorse behind such names as Black Canyon Coffee and Costa Coffee.

The San Marino Lisa has recently been modernised slightly and re-launched under the name "San Marino 'R'" The R stands for redesigned but the machines keep the shape and curves, but take on such modern necessities as raised groups, new pre-infusion group designs, and in the case of the SME electronic models- temperature controls for the boiler, automatic latte maker, auto foamer and a variety of shot controls (up to 6 per group, excluding the auto selector which can add a further 6 options through 1 of the groups).

The semi-automatic model retains most of the classic features, with the updating confined to the groups, the rocker switches being replaced with sturdy buttons and of course some change in the bodywork.

The machine options available to a café owner are endless. The Semi-auto (SMAT) and the auto (SME) come in 1-4 groups. On special request bigger units can be built. On departure at Rome airport, a beautiful 4 group classic SMAT, with copper trim, serves elegant coffee at the Tazza d'orro café. To many tourists this is their last memory of Italy- a fantastic espresso served from a classic, timeless machine. Perfect.
